Der MaK M43C ist der Standard-Hauptmotor der Caterpillar/MaK-Baureihe für mittelgroße Containerschiffe, RoRo-Schiffe und Offshore-Versorger. MaK (Maschinenbau Kiel, 1997 von Caterpillar übernommen) produziert in Kiel und Rostock. Der M43C wird als mechanische Hauptmaschine mit Getriebe + CPP oder als Generator-Antrieb eingesetzt.
