Sabroe ist ein traditionsreicher dänischer Kältekompressor-Hersteller aus Aarhus, gegründet 1898, seit 1999 Teil von York (heute Johnson Controls). Die SMC-Serie ist der Industrie-Standard für marine Ammoniak-Kälteanlagen auf Fischverarbeitungsschiffen, Reefer-Carriern und Kühllagerschiffen. Open-Drive-Bauweise mit externem Motor und Kupplung ermöglicht einfache Wartung und Austausch. Sabroe/JCI dominiert das Marine-Ammoniak-Segment mit geschätzt 40-50% Marktanteil.
