Das Enhanced Purifier Concept (EPC) ist Alfa Lavals Konfiguration der ALCAP S-Serie speziell für die Herausforderungen von IMO 2020 VLSFO-Brennstoffen. Die EPC-Konfiguration optimiert Durchflussrate und Trennleistung für die wechselnden Dichten und Viskositäten moderner Very Low Sulphur Fuel Oils. Keine separate Hardware — es handelt sich um eine spezifische Einstellung und Disc-Stack-Konfiguration der bestehenden S-Serie. Seit 2019 auf Neubauten Standard, Retrofit für bestehende ALCAP-Anlagen verfügbar.
